Duties
- Greet guests warmly to create a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Monitor tables throughout the dining experience, checking on guests’ needs and addressing concerns proactively
- Maintain food safety standards by following proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and timely delivery of orders
- Manage guest payments accurately, process transactions efficiently, and provide receipts with a positive attitude
- Assist in setting up dining areas after service and cleaning after closing shifts to ensure a pristine environment
- Demonstrate excellent time management by balancing multiple tables while providing attentive service
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of serving techniques, food safety protocols, and basic food preparation skills
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing and transactions
- Familiarity with kitchen operations or culinary experience is a plus
- Good time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Knowledge of upselling strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Basic understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
