Job Summary:
With the expansion of our nursery due to high demand in the childcare sector since the introduction of the new government funding, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Room Leader to join our team. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the nursery room, ensuring the well-being and development of the children in your care. Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursery staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and development
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, incidents, and milestones
- Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or special requirements
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Manage daily routines, including meals, nap times, and hygiene practices
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to motivate and inspire a team
- Proactive approach with the ability to drive continuous improvement in the nursery room
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, resources, and documentation
- Proficient in English (verbal and written)
- Previous experience working in childcare or related field
