Overview
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Barista / Kitchen Assistant to join our cafe team. The role will include preparing and serving drinks, helping with basic food preparation, serving customers, using the till, and keeping the cafe and kitchen areas clean and tidy.
Previous cafe, barista, or kitchen experience would be helpful, but it is not essential as training can be provided. The most important things are a positive attitude, good customer service, reliability, and a willingness to help during busy periods.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, including coffee and tea
- Assist with basic food preparation
- Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take orders and handle payments using the till
- Keep the kitchen, counter, and customer areas clean and well stocked
- Wash dishes and help with general cleaning duties
- Follow food hygiene, health, and safety procedures
- Let management know when stock is running low
- Support the wider team during busy periods
Skills / Requirements
- Friendly and helpful approach to customers
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Basic food preparation or kitchen experience would be useful
- Barista experience is desirable but not essential
- Good attention to cleanliness and hygiene
- Comfortable handling payments and using a till
- Willingness to learn

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
