Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Registered Manager (or an exceptional, proven Deputy Manager ready to step up) to lead our residential children’s home for young people.
You will hold overall legal and operational accountability for the home under Ofsted regulations, driving high standards of care, staff leadership, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, leading the home to ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings.
Leadership & Culture: Recruit, mentor, supervise, and develop a resilient residential care team, setting clear standards for therapeutic, trauma-informed care.
Safeguarding: Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring robust safeguarding protocols, multi-agency collaboration, and risk management.
Operations & Budgeting: Oversee occupancy, placement matching, daily finances, rota management, and administrative systems.
Essential Requirements
Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/working towards completion within required timeframes).
Experience: Minimum 2 years’ recent experience working in a residential children's home, with at least 1 year in a leadership role as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager.
Regulatory Knowledge: Thorough working knowledge of Ofsted inspections, the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF), and the Children’s Act 1989/2004.
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence.
Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
