Currently taking around £3,500 per week and trading as 100% wet-led, the pub has a clear platform to grow sales through event planning, live sport, live music and regular reasons to visit. With the right operator driving activity, there is potential to build sales towards £5,000 per week by developing midweek trade alongside the pub’s existing weekend footfall.
The Boars Head suits an operator who understands wet-led pubs and knows how to create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. There is scope to grow local pub games, recruit darts, dominoes and sports teams.
We’re looking for either an experienced town-centre or wet-led pub operator, or someone with the drive, personality and appetite to grow into the role with Marston’s backing. Local knowledge of Shrewsbury would be a real advantage, but the most important thing is the ability to engage the community, run a great bar, build regular trade and bring fresh energy to a pub with plenty of upside.
