We are renowned for excellence in complex metal working and manufacture shafts, rings, discs, asymmetric forgings and extruded cylinders in a range of titanium, nickel and steel alloys.
This apprenticeship will provide an excellent opportunity to gain a formal mechanical engineering apprenticeship and gain nationally, and internationally, recognised engineering qualifications. The role will develop mechanical engineering skills within the maintenance department through maintaining, modifying and repairing machinery including CNC and manual machine tools, large complex hydraulic systems and heavy pressing and stamping equipment.
Skills and learning will be developed through on-the-job learning in the workplace and part time attendance at a local college to gain the qualification you require.

- Learning to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Supporting the installation of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Participating in machine testing, fault-finding, and quality checks.
- Working closely with mentors to develop your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
You'll need:
- Strong practical skills and a willingness to learn hands-on.
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- An ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions carefully.
- Basic understanding of tools and workshop safety (training will be provided).
- A Genuine interest in mechanical engineering and how things work.

The successful applicant will have:
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s at grades A-C to include Maths, English and Sciences.
- It is desirable to have completed or be working toward NVQ Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations
- It is desirable to have completed or at least be working toward a BTEC/EAL Level 3 Diploma in Engineering
