Eternox UK Ltd is developing as a specialist industrial supplier focused on high-performance abrasives, welding consumables, mechanical tools, power tools, industrial machinery and related industrial products.
The UK business is building a locally adapted product portfolio for industrial customers, with a focus on product performance, customer proximity, technical differentiation and reliable supply. The company’s growth plan requires a senior product development professional capable of translating UK industrial customer needs into structured product development programmes, supplier requirements, product validation processes and commercial launch plans.
Role Purpose
The Industrial Product Development Programme Manager will lead Eternox UK’s industrial product development programmes across abrasives, welding consumables, power tools, machinery and related high-performance industrial categories.
The role will focus on identifying UK market needs, defining product requirements, coordinating supplier and manufacturer development, managing product development projects from concept to launch, supporting technical validation, integrating products into the commercial model and enabling the UK sales team with product knowledge and launch materials.
This is not a statutory company director, general management or finance role. The role is a specialised senior product development and product programme position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Eternox UK’s product portfolio roadmap across abrasives, welding consumables, power tools, mechanical tools, machinery and related industrial product categories.
Conduct UK market research and customer need analysis across industrial sectors including manufacturing, construction, metalworking, engineering, automotive, mining-related supply chains and maintenance operations.
Translate customer and market needs into product requirements, supplier briefs, technical specifications, sample requirements and commercial product development plans.
Lead product development projects from concept, market requirement and supplier sourcing through to sample review, testing, validation, product launch and commercial implementation.
Coordinate with international suppliers and manufacturers, including China-based factories and other strategic production partners, to support product development, sampling, technical improvement and manufacturing feasibility.
Evaluate supplier capability, product performance, quality consistency, manufacturability, documentation and commercial suitability.
Work with the UK commercial team to define product positioning, sales arguments, launch priorities, training materials and customer-facing product information.
Support the integration of new products into Eternox UK’s ERP, CRM, stock, catalogue, pricing and sales processes.
Develop SOP-led product development workflows, including market feedback, product selection, sample testing, launch readiness and post-launch performance review.
Build structured feedback loops with sales teams, customers, suppliers and logistics operations to improve product quality, customer satisfaction and portfolio performance.
Coordinate with legal, compliance and technical advisors where product documentation, safety requirements, standards or regulatory considerations apply.
Support the UK business in building a high-performance product portfolio adapted to the requirements of the UK market and capable of supporting future European expansion.
Essential Requirements
Significant senior experience in industrial product development, product portfolio management or product-related programme/project management.
Proven experience taking physical industrial products from market need identification through to specification, supplier coordination, prototyping or sampling, testing, launch and commercial implementation.
Strong understanding of industrial customer requirements in sectors such as manufacturing, metalworking, construction, engineering, automotive, mining-related supply chains, maintenance or industrial safety.
Experience working with international suppliers, factories or manufacturers, preferably including China-based manufacturing or sourcing.
Ability to assess product performance, supplier capability, manufacturing feasibility, quality consistency and commercial viability.
Experience developing technical or semi-technical product ranges for B2B industrial markets.
Experience working with sales, logistics, inventory, ERP/CRM and customer feedback processes as part of product launch and portfolio development.
Strong commercial understanding, including pricing logic, product positioning, competitor analysis and go-to-market execution.
Ability to work under a hybrid model, with regular attendance at Eternox UK’s premises, customer sites, product testing activities, supplier meetings and internal team sessions.
Advanced professional English.
Desirable Requirements
Experience in abrasives, welding consumables, power tools, machinery, PPE, respiratory protection, industrial safety or related technical product categories.
Experience developing IP-backed products, patented products, registered designs or differentiated technical product solutions.
Experience building SOP-led product development or product launch processes.
Experience using Odoo, CRM systems, ERP systems, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 or similar business systems.
Experience working across multiple international markets, including the United Kingdom, Europe, Latin America or Asia.
Founder/operator experience in scaling a product-led industrial business.
Working Location and Hybrid Model
The role will be based primarily in the United Kingdom, with Eternox UK’s premises in the Haydock / St Helens area as the main office location.
The role will operate under a hybrid working model. The employee may work remotely when appropriate, but the role requires regular physical presence at Eternox UK’s premises, customer sites, product testing or validation activities, sales team sessions and business meetings.
The role cannot be performed entirely remotely from outside the United Kingdom because it requires direct UK market research, customer interaction, product validation, integration with the UK team and local product portfolio adaptation.
Pay: £180,000.00 per year
