Overview
We are looking for a reliable and compassionate Head Housekeeper to join our care home team. You will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Your work will directly contribute to the wellbeing and dignity of those in our care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Housekeeping staff
- Clean and maintain residents’ rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard
- Follow infection control and health & safety procedures at all times
- Carry out laundry duties, including washing, drying, and ironing
- Dispose of waste safely and appropriately
- Replenish cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues
- Work respectfully around residents, ensuring privacy and dignity
- Support the wider care home team as needed
About You
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (preferably in a care or healthcare setting) is desirable but not essential
- A caring and respectful attitude towards elderly or vulnerable people
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures
