Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a multi-skilled Panel Beater/MET Technician. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who can confidently undertake vehicle body repairs as well as the removal, refitting, and diagnosis of mechanical, electrical, and trim components. Quality workmanship and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Structural Panel replacement
- Panel Straightening
- Jig and chassis alignment (an advantage)
- Filler work
- Welding and bonding of vehicle structure
- Stripping and refitting of a wide range of vehicles
- Diagnostics and repairs of electrical and mechanical faults
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of vehicles
- Collaborate with team members to prioritise and complete repair tasks
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
Requirements:
- Work must be carried out to a high standard, have an eye for detail and carry out quality checks
- Ability and confidence to work on a range of different vehicles
- Communicate with all members of staff, specifically the Bodyshop Manager to report any further findings, parts required and supplying them with updates throughout the job
- You are required to work efficiently and to a timely manner to ensure that work is completed within the correct time frame
- Work areas must be kept maintained, clean and safe for hazards to health and safety
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools effectively
- Experience with heavy lifting and physical labour
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Pay: From £37,000.00 per year
