We are recruiting for a Project Manager to join our Regional Civil Engineering team and lead the delivery of a major highways infrastructure package in Plymouth. Working in partnership with a key customer, this high-profile project will transform a key transport corridor through significant highway improvements, drainage infrastructure, earthworks and carriageway widening works. As Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in safely leading our delivery teams, driving programme and commercial performance, and building strong client relationships as we continue to grow our presence in the South West civil engineering market.
- Lead the safe and successful delivery of a major highways infrastructure package, ensuring works are completed in line with programme, budget, quality and health & safety requirements.
- Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners, driving collaboration and maintaining high levels of productivity, quality and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and proactively managing interfaces, risks and opportunities to support successful project outcomes.
- Oversee project planning, commercial performance and reporting, ensuring effective resource management, change control and continuous improvement while upholding Octavius' values and commitment to excellence

- Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
- NRSWA Supervisor.
- NEC accreditation.
- IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
Technical Knowledge
- Earthworks and pavement construction.
- Utility diversions and stakeholder coordination.
- Section 278 or local authority highway projects.
