This is an exciting opportunity to join the Camden Pain Service (CPS) which serves patients who have a long-term pain condition e.g. chronic lower back pain, chronic widespread pain, fibromyalgia. The CPS is staffed by a supportive team of medical, physiotherapy and psychology professionals as we acknowledge that pain impacts a person’s life in lots of different ways.
You’ll be working under the supervision of a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist to deliver psychological assessment and intervention (1:1 and group pain management programmes based on CBT/ACT/CFT) for this cohort of patients. You’ll also be supporting the wider multidisciplinary team and liaising with relevant external community services e.g. Talking Therapies, MSK services, community mental health teams. There may also be opportunities to supervise other members of staff and support service delivery by engaging in quality improvement projects, providing reflective practice for other staff groups in the Trust and contribute to wider psychological professions initiatives.
