We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a genuine passion for helping others and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health or behaviour.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or activities when required.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.
- Support individuals with specific needs, including dementia care, senior care.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Skills in first aid and patient care are highly advantageous.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, including those in nursing homes or requiring specialised care, is beneficial.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
- A strong understanding of medication administration protocols is an asset.
