Receptionist / Legal Secretarial Support
Location: Llandudno
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Looking for a role where no two days are quite the same?
We're looking for a friendly, organised and proactive person to join our team at Swayne Johnson Solicitors in our Llandudno office.
This is a varied role that combines reception responsibilities with legal secretarial support for our Private Client team. If you enjoy helping people, keeping things organised and being an important part of a busy office, we'd love to hear from you.
Whether you already have experience in a legal environment or have strong administrative and customer service skills and are keen to learn, we encourage you to apply.
What will you be doing?
Your day will be split between supporting the smooth running of our office and assisting our Private Client team with their day-to-day administrative needs.
Reception duties include:
- Answering incoming telephone calls professionally and directing enquiries to the appropriate person.
- Managing our office intercom system and welcoming clients when they arrive.
- Handling general enquiries and helping clients feel looked after from their very first contact with us.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the office.
Alongside this, you'll provide legal secretarial support, including:
- Preparing letters and legal documents.
- Audio and copy typing (where required).
- Opening and maintaining client files.
- Scanning, filing and organising documents.
- Managing incoming and outgoing post.
- Booking appointments and assisting with diary management.
- Providing administrative support to our Private Client fee earners.
Our office is based within a shared building, so while you'll be the first point of contact for our clients by phone and intercom, this isn't a traditional front reception desk role.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and enjoys speaking with people.
- Well organised with excellent attention to detail.
- A confident communicator with a professional telephone manner.
- Comfortable juggling different tasks and priorities.
- A team player who is happy to roll up their sleeves and help where needed.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and general office systems.
Previous legal experience would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. If you have great administrative skills, a positive attitude and are keen to build a career in law, we'll provide support and training to help you succeed.
Why join Swayne Johnson Solicitors?
We're proud to be a long established law firm with a friendly and supportive team. We believe that every member of staff plays an important role in delivering an excellent service to our clients.
In return, we offer:
- A welcoming and supportive working environment.
- A varied role where every day is different.
- Opportunities to learn and develop within a respected law firm.
- Competitive salary based on experience.
If this sounds like the role for you, we'd love to hear from you.
Please send us your CV together with a short covering letter telling us a little about yourself and why you'd like to join the team.
