About the Role
As a Microbiologist , you will play a key role within our QC Microbiology team, performing critical microbiological testing and environmental monitoring activities to support the manufacture of sterile medicinal products. Your work ensures the safety, quality, and compliance of our products, contributing directly to patient wellbeing.
This is a hands-on, lab‑based role in a fast‑paced GMP environment—ideal for someone passionate about microbiology, eager to learn, and motivated by high standards of scientific excellence.
What You Will Do
In this role, you will:
- Perform environmental monitoring of cleanrooms and controlled areas.
- Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, utilities (WFI, purified water, gases), in-process samples, and final products.
- Carry out utility sampling in line with regulatory and site requirements.
- Perform microbial identification and bioburden testing.
- Complete QC testing of culture media and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Ensure laboratory equipment and workspaces remain inspection‑ready at all times.
- Record data accurately and compliantly in accordance with GMP and GLP expectations.
- Contribute to OOS/OOT investigations , unplanned events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support validation studies , project work, and new initiatives.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping , safety, and regulatory compliance (including Annex 1).
What You Bring
Essential:
- Experience working in a laboratory or cGMP production environment
- Knowledge of core microbiological techniques
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation discipline
- Ability to work safely and compliantly in regulated environments
- HND (or equivalent experience) in a scientific discipline
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Experience in a GMP‑regulated microbiology lab
- Environmental monitoring experience
- Degree in a scientific discipline
- Familiarity with LIMS or electronic data systems
