Activity Coordinator Job Description
We are seeking a motivated, organised, and empathetic Activity Coordinator to join our team. You will support residents to achieve their personal goals through a range of activities, drop-in sessions, and educational workshops.
This is a hands-on, rewarding role focused on practical support, personal development, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver activities, workshops, and drop-in sessions to engage residents
- Work with residents to set goals, break them into achievable milestones, support their progress, and track development relevant to resettlement and independent living; once milestones and goals are accomplished, establish new milestones and goals to sustain continued progress.
- Monitor milestones and achievements, providing guidance and encouragement
- Support residents in accessing external services (housing, education, employment, benefits)
- Maintain accurate records of goals, milestones, and activity engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure consistent support
- Promote residents’ independence, confidence, and life skills
- Developing and managing calendars of activities and events to promote social skills, community engagement, and meaningful participation.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum A-Level standard (or equivalent) or higher
- Experience in activity coordination or community engagement
- Strong ability to track goals, monitor progress, and record outcomes
- Good level of numeracy and IT literacy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised and able to plan and evaluate activities and sessions
- Understanding of homelessness and safeguarding
- Report writing skills
- Valid UK Driving License
