We’re exclusively partnering with an ambitious, acquisitive business looking for an experienced, qualified Financial Controller to take genuine ownership of the finance function.
This is a hands-on, operational FC role. You'll be the senior finance lead on site, working closely with the CEO and leadership team while leading a small finance team.
What you'll do:
- Own the month-end, management accounts and Board MI, providing clear analysis and commercial insight.
- Lead and develop the finance team, identifying opportunities to improve capability.
- Partner with the CEO, Operations, HR and wider leadership team.
- Own cash flow forecasting, budgeting, KPIs and financial control.
- Challenge the numbers, investigate variances and make sure the business understands its performance.
- Improve systems, processes, controls and reporting as the business grows.
- Lead audit activity and support the Group's acquisition and integration strategy.
What we're looking for:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified - essential.
- Proven experience operating at Financial Controller level.
- Excellent management accounting and MI/reporting skills.
- Highly numerate, analytical and commercially minded.
- A strong communicator who can build relationships from shop floor to Boardroom.
- An effective people leader who enjoys developing others.
- Someone who sees opportunities to improve and takes ownership of making change happen.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
My client offers a salary of £70,000pa-£80,000pa plus benefits. This is a five-day on-site role in Rochdale, putting you at the heart of the operation rather than removed from it. You'll have genuine exposure to the CEO and senior leadership team and the opportunity to shape the finance function as the business continues to grow through acquisition.
