A new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Auditor to join our Internal Audit function.

About the role
As a Senior Auditor, you’ll play a key role in the delivery of timely and cost-efficient audit work in line with Internal Audit’s methodology. You’ll be exposed to all elements of the audit process. This will include taking responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of audits or supporting our Audit Managers to shape and deliver more complex audits. You’ll constantly be exposed to new areas and a breadth of work. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals with finance or change risk experience, although this is not essential.Responsibilities:
Undertake the delivery of audits laid out in the Audit Plan, to provide adequate assurance over the key risks within the scope of the audit.
Take ownership for elements of complex audits as determined by the Audit Manager and/or Senior Manager.
Monitor changes in the Society’s business activities, using such insight to inform the audit universe and continuous risk assessment process.
Provide timely and robust subject matter expertise and insights on areas of specialism, to team members as required, and as an input to the periodic audit planning process.
Working innovatively with colleagues across Internal Audit to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the function.
About you

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage time and resources to enable the successful and timely delivery of reviews.
Evidence of leading reviews and/or contributing to the delivery of complex reviews, including drafting of working papers and audit reports.
Good understanding of the core concepts of internal auditing or risk management.
The ability to build strong relationship with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
A continuous improvement mind set, curiosity and the ability to challenge effectively when needed.
