We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at our children’s residential home in Leicester.

Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Support Worker, you will:
- Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Provide high-quality care and support to children with learning disabilities and complex needs
- Lead shifts and supervise support staff when required
- Ensure safeguarding procedures and care standards are followed at all times
- Support young people with daily routines, education, activities, and life skills
- Maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments, and daily records
- Promote independence, emotional wellbeing, and positive behaviour
- Work in line with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
- Experience working in a children’s residential care setting
- Experience supporting children with learning disabilities or additional needs
- Ability to lead shifts and mentor staff
- Strong safeguarding knowledge
- Good written and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable
- Level 4 or 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
- Experience with positive behaviour support (PBS)
- Medication administration training
