The role
We're looking for a friendly, reliable Medicines Counter Assistant to join our team part-time. You'll often be the first person our customers meet, so a warm, helpful manner is just as important as attention to detail.
Pharmacy experience is welcome but not essential — if you're keen to learn and enjoy helping people, we'll give you the training you need, including the accredited Medicines Counter Assistant course.
What you'll do
- Welcome customers and provide excellent service at the medicines counter
- Advise on over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products, referring to the pharmacist where appropriate
- Process sales and handle customer queries in line with our standard operating procedures
- Support the dispensary and wider team with day-to-day tasks
- Help keep the pharmacy well-stocked, tidy, and welcoming
- Work as part of a team to deliver the best possible experience for our customers
About you
- Pharmacy or retail experience (preferable but not essential)
- Willing to complete the accredited Medicines Counter Assistant training
- Friendly, approachable, and genuinely enjoys helping people
- Reliable and punctual
- Methodical and accurate, with good attention to detail
- Trustworthy, with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality
- A positive, can-do team player
- Comfortable using a computer
- Fluent in written and spoken English
