Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. This role involves operating large commercial vehicles, curtain side to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods. Duties
- Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, curtain side trailers across UK / European Holland / France
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance
- Load and secure cargo appropriately ensuring stability during transit
- Deliver goods to various locations efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Follow all relevant traffic laws and health & safety regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery times and any issues encountered during transit
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo when required, ensuring proper handling procedures are followedQualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record and full DCPC
- Knowledge of current driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
- Delivery driver experience demonstrating reliability and punctuality
- Ability to operate curtain side trailers
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and dispatch teams
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary
- Tramping role 4/5 night out paid occasional Sunday start 5/6 day shifts
