A to Z Trailer Movements are currently recruiting a Cat C+E driver to drive our 18 tonne beavertail that has the ability to tow a 3.5 tonne trailer behind it at the same time (C+E required). To cover holiday / out of hours / weekends / adhoc weekdays.
Also be happy to jump in one of the 4x4 pick up trucks to tow trailers as and when required.
Self employed / ltd drivers are only of interest at this time.
Daily walk around checks are required. Understanding of W3W / WhatsApp and basic IT skills will also be very important as well as following instructions.
We run mixed fleet of pick up trucks and a 18 tonne beavertail lorry that has the capacity to tow. We have have an array of our own trailers that we use for haulage as well as moving our customers trailers.
Valid digital tacho card and cpc are essential.
Experience in moving mobile welfare units would be a plus as well as experience with Plant including the loading / unloading and experience with ratchet straps and tie down chains.
Some trailers we move can be 7 meters in length weight upto 3.5 tonne.
Be confident driving in city centres and reversing in tight places.
Have common sense.
Be hard working.
Not scared of getting your hands dirty. Change wheel if required and safe to do so. Basic mechanic knowledge would come in very handy.
Listen and understand instructions - if you are not sure on anything just ask.
We also move small plant and access equipment on a plant trailer. IPAF holder would be handy.
Be ideally based locally to NN7 area - we cover Nationwide so can be early starts / late finishes some overnight stays maybe required (not very often/hotel will be provided). MUST BE LOCAL

Pay rate is £15-£20 per hour.
Out of hours / weekend work will the higher rate.
Positions would suit class 1 driver looking for something a bit different.
Would suit somebody that is looking for part-time/adhoc hours semi retired. No points on your licence.
