Head Chef

The award-winning King Arthur Hotel is looking for an experienced, passionate and ambitious Head Chef to lead our talented kitchen team.
Situated in the heart of Gower, we're a busy, well-established country hotel and wedding venue, renowned for our quality food, warm hospitality and excellent reputation. This is an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef who is looking to make their mark within a thriving independent business.
The Role
As Head Chef, you'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading and inspiring the team while maintaining the high standards our guests have come to expect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the kitchen team
- Menu planning and seasonal menu development
- Maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation
- Stock control and supplier management
- Managing GP and food costs
- Ensuring full compliance with HACCP, COSHH and food hygiene regulations
- Training, mentoring and motivating the team
- Working closely with management to continue developing our food offering
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Head Chef in a busy kitchen
- Is passionate about fresh, quality food
- Has excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Thrives under pressure whilst maintaining exceptional standards
- Is commercially aware and takes pride in delivering consistency
- Has their own transport
