Bench Joiner – Production Department

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £15.50 – £16.40 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday

We’re looking for a Senior Bench Joiner to join our busy Production team. This role would suit someone with some hands-on joinery experience who is confident working at the bench and using workshop machinery including CNC and Edge Banding. We're looking for someone who is comfortable building, edging and assembling to a good standard.
Melita POS Ltd are a growing point of sale display manufacturer based in Leicester. We design, manufacture, warehouse and install bespoke retail display units and in-store activations for brands across the UK.
We’ve been operating for over 25 years and pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, well-built retail displays in a fast-paced and reactive environment. Our projects span cosmetics, FMCG, vape, grocery and wider retail sectors.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include:
- Bench joinery and assembly of display units
- Edging and finishing of boards and components
- Using machinery such as table saws, band saws and CNC
- Reading and working from basic drawings
- Gluing, fitting and assembling components accurately
- Quality checking your own work before sign-off
- Working to production schedules and deadlines
- Keeping your workspace clean and following all H&S procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in bench joinery or a similar workshop-based role
- Confident carrying out edging and basic finishing to a good standard
- Comfortable using standard workshop machinery and hand tools
- Able to follow basic technical drawings and instructions
- Good attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, proactive and willing to learn
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
This role would suit someone with solid joinery foundations who is looking to build on their experience in a supportive production environment.
