As we continue to grow, we're looking for an ambitious Senior Account Manager to develop some of our most strategic retail customer relationships, identifying opportunities to expand our services and deliver measurable business value.
The Role
As a Senior Account Manager, you will own a portfolio of strategic retail accounts, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and driving revenue growth through a consultative approach.
Working closely with our Consulting, Managed Services, Engineering and Solutions and Technology teams, you'll identify customer challenges, develop growth strategies and position PMC's capabilities to help customers achieve their business objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background selling technology services into the retail sector who is looking to accelerate their career within a fast-growing technology business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of strategic retail accounts.
- Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, IT Directors, Digital Directors and Heads of Technology.
- Develop and execute account growth plans to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Identify, qualify and convert opportunities across:
- Managed Services
- Professional Services
- Graphene solutions
- Engineering Services
- Work collaboratively with Consulting, Delivery and Technical teams to develop compelling customer propositions.
- Lead commercial discussions including proposals, pricing and contract negotiations.
- Drive account retention and customer satisfaction while increasing wallet share.
- Understand customers' technology roadmaps and proactively identify opportunities to support future transformation initiatives.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline within CRM.
- Represent PMC at customer meetings, industry events and networking opportunities.
- Work with Marketing on customer campaigns, case studies and account-based marketing initiatives.
About You
You'll be an experienced technology account manager who enjoys developing long-term customer relationships and identifying opportunities to help customers solve complex business challenges.
You'll combine commercial awareness with a consultative approach and have a genuine passion for the retail technology sector.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience managing and growing strategic customer accounts.
- Experience selling technology services into the retail sector.
- Strong consultative sales and solution-selling experience.
- Experience selling one or more of the following:
- Managed Services
- Professional Services
- Software Engineering
- Cloud Services
- Digital Transformation
- Technology Consulting
- Track record of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience engaging with senior decision makers and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent commercial negotiation skills.
- Strong presentation and proposal development skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical and delivery teams.
Desirable
- Experience within retail technology or commerce platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS or Google Cloud).
- Experience selling application support, platform services or software engineering.
- Familiarity with enterprise retailers and omnichannel environments.
