Converging Solutions aim to be the first choice for end of line pack handling equipment. We are a 'clean' manufacturing business that design and assemble bespoke machinery for the food industry.
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and driven Apprentice Electrical Technician.

This is an awesome opportunity to take the first steps into a Electrical Engineering role. With various apprenticeship opportunities on offer depending on the level appropriate for your age and skill/experience. Standard routes being a day release to a local college for 2 or 3 year apprenticeship. Full training given, with a great opportunity to build a foundation and progress in a dynamic and growing company.
The Role:
- Starting with the basics and how electrical tasks are completed, from crimping cables to field wiring a motor and how to read a wiring diagram. Tuitian given as well as external support and training through a local college.
- Working on smaller sub assemblies to start to gain experience and familiarity before progressing onto more complicated tasks.
- To work within the Production team to produce all our products efficiently and cost effectively.
- To ensure all machines are wired correctly and safely.
- Machine backplates to be assembled and wired using templates and standard wiring diagrams.
- Electrical assembly and field wiring is required once the mechanical assembly of the machines is complete. This consists of terminating all cables from motors, sensors and other electrical items to the control cabinet/backplate.
- From time to time, assisting with the basic mechanical assembly of the machines we manufacture.
- Basic electrical fault finding should there be any wiring/electrical assembly issues after the machine is powered up.
- Liaising with the Technical team to resolve any issues relating to electrical assembly, wiring specifications and electrical drawings.
- To make certain all machines are built to the highest of standards and leave the factory on time.

We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast paced and exciting environment. Whilst you will be required to work on your own initiative, it is essential that you enjoy being part of a small team and are willing to support others at challenging times. Key skills include:
- Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to build relationships quickly.
- The ability to be diverse and manage multiple tasks at once.
- Able to follow logical processes.
- Experience of electrical assembly would be an advantage. However training will be given to a keen individual who is looking to learn.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15,600.00-£25,057.50 per year
