Ducklings Childcare is looking for a Nursery Cook to join our friendly and supportive team.
Our current cook, Wendy, isn't leaving us completely! After several successful years in the kitchen, Wendy has decided to pursue a career working directly with children and will be joining the nursery team. She's certainly going out with a bang too, having just achieved another 5-Star Food Hygiene Rating during our unannounced Environmental Health inspection yesterday! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wendy will remain in the setting and will be on hand to help support the successful applicant during their induction and settling-in period.
What we're looking for:
Someone who can cook tasty, nutritious meals for children
A happy, positive person who enjoys coming to work
Someone who genuinely likes children (you'll hear plenty of conversations about dinosaurs, princesses and why peas should never touch mashed potato!)
Able to work independently and manage their own workload
A team player who will fit into our small nursery family
Organised and able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene
Qualifications
Formal catering qualifications are not essential (although they would be advantageous).
Full training will be provided, so if you can cook and are willing to learn, we'd love to hear from you.
Requirements
