About the Role
Star Cabs LTD is a local logistics company providing PSV and taxi services. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at our Haverhill depot. You will work closely with the Workshop Manager, carrying out daily maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled vehicle servicing in line with company guidelines
- Diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment (preferred)
- Ensure vehicles meet Local Authority requirements, including MOT and Plate Tests
- Maintain a safe and high-quality working environment
- Attend vehicle breakdowns as required
- Test drive vehicles (taxi test required – paid for by the company)
- Complete a Local Authority DBS check (paid for by the company)
Requirements
- Ideally Level 3 qualified vehicle mechanic
- Full UK Driving Licence (required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a strong work ethic
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
