About the Role:
A part-time position has become available for a Personal Assistant to join my team in a friendly, family-oriented setting. As an adventurous character who enjoys many activities, I require 24-hour support and 2:1 care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive care and assistance in daily activities.
- Promote a positive and cheerful environment filled with laughter and humour.
- Collaborate with a team on a rolling rota basis, working weekdays, weekends and covering annual leave.
- Flexibility to cover sickness and annual leave, which may include days, waking nights, and sleep-ins.
Required Qualifications:
- Dog lover! A passion for pets is essential.
- Driver (Over 25) with a valid driver's license.
- Good communicator with a cheerful demeanour. Experience with Eye-Gaze/AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) preferrable.
- Good non-verbal communication skills.
- Male preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work to a routine well, as I am a "stickler for routine" and extremely time focused.
- A sense of “banter” and good humour is very important.
- Medical or nursing background is ideal but not essential; training will be provided, including bespoke moving and handling and hoist training, PEG training and DBS (Deep Brain Stimulator) training.
- Must complete an enhanced DBS check.
- Non-smoker status is required.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
Experience:
- Support Worker: 2 years (preferred)
- Eye Gaze/ ACC (augmentative and alternative communication) : 1 year (preferred)
