Term-time Preschool Nursery Manager
Location: Ashton under Lyne, Tameside
Salary: £27,000
Hours: 36 per week Monday to Friday
Weeks: 40 weeks per year ( including 10 non-pupil contact days)

The Role
As our Nursery Manager, you will have the autonomy to shape the educational environment and lead a dedicated team. You will build strong relationships with families and ensure the highest standards of care and early education. You will be a hands-on keyworker and Safeguarding Lead as well as having dedicated time out to focus on management tasks. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children during their most formative years.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: Mentor, inspire, and develop a small, committed team of early years practitioners.
- Planning: Implement a creative, child-centred curriculum with the team, that reflects your style and educational values.
- Operations & Compliance: Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., Ofsted) and safeguarding policies.
- Family Partnerships: Maintain warm, open, and professional communication with parents and carers.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualification: A minimum Level 3 childcare qualification (Degree in Early Years or EYPS/EYT is desirable).
- Experience: At least one year of leadership experience in an early years setting (e.g.as a Manager, Deputy Manager, or strong Room Leader).
- Skills: Deep knowledge of the EYFS, excellent communication skills, and a warm, approachable leadership style.
- Passion: A genuine desire to run a setting that feels like a second home to our children.
