An exciting new role created to lead the setting up and operations of the Peterborough City Centre Growth Board, which includes the Council, Homes England and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. Employed by the Council the post holder will report to both the Service Director for Growth and Regeneration and to the Growth Board. This is an opportunity to join at the beginning of a large programme of regeneration and growth, influencing how opportunities are brought forwarded and funded across whole zones of investment in the Station Quarter, City Centre and Embankment. An externally focused role, the post holder will also manage Tourism and Communications, working across the whole directorate and in partnership with the wider Council, University, local businesses, the Tourist Board and newly formed Local Visitor Economy Partnership.
The team is small at the moment, consisting of a Strategy Manager, Tourism Manager and seconded Communications Manager, but it has the opportunity to grow as the Growth Board is fully established and new programmes of investment are secured.
A great communicator and leader who can bring together multiple agencies and construct strategies and programmes of work that attract both public and private investment. A property and regeneration professional used to working in a political environment and skilled at negotiating complex land and funding deals.
