Oodles Wok is one of the UK's fastest-growing Asian fusion Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands, with a rapidly expanding network of restaurants across the UK and an established international presence in the UAE, Qatar, and Canada, with India launching soon. As we continue to grow both domestically and internationally, we're looking for a talented CAD Designer to join our team to support the delivery of new restaurant openings, refurbishment projects, and developments across both our UK and international markets. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects across our global portfolio, helping shape the future of the Oodles Wok brand.
The Role
As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings and layouts for new and existing Oodles Wok restaurants. Working closely with the Property and Projects team, you'll help bring our restaurant concepts to life while ensuring designs meet operational, brand, and construction requirements.
You will work on projects across both the UK and our international markets, supporting new restaurant openings, refurbishments, and future developments in the UAE, Qatar, Canada, and India. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of an internationally recognised brand, with the potential to travel overseas to support project delivery and design implementation where required
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings for new restaurant developments and refurbishment projects.
- Conduct site surveys for prospective and existing restaurant locations, taking accurate measurements, photographs, and videos to support design development and project planning.
- Prepare restaurant layouts, signage, elevations, 3D visualisations, and construction drawings.
- Support feasibility studies and space planning for new sites.
- Update and maintain CAD drawings and 3D models throughout each project lifecycle.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure design accuracy.
- Ensure all drawings are completed accurately and within project deadlines.
- Support design coordination for both UK and international restaurant projects where required.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience producing 2D and 3D technical drawings within retail, hospitality, commercial, or QSR environments.
- A strong understanding of construction and fit-out drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with SketchUp and other relevant CAD, 3D modelling, or visualisation software would be advantageous but is not essential.
