Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior kitchen staff
- Support the organisation and management of food production processes
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Help with kitchen organisation, including cleaning, sanitising, and maintaining hygiene standards
- Supervise junior team members and support team management activities
- Assist in serving customers when required, providing excellent hospitality service
- Contribute to the development of new menu items and presentation styles
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Supervising experience within a food production or hospitality setting is desirable
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen roles within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Experience in team management or leadership roles within a culinary context is advantageous
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving and customer service skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or culinary environments that emphasise teamwork and high standards of service
