Cakesmiths, the UK's leading independent baker of innovative and award winning traybakes and cake are looking for a Warehouse & Prep Operative to join their growing Bristol based team.
Specialising in the coffee shop sector, Cakesmiths have and continue to rapidly expand. Driven by a passion for hand baking the highest quality and best tasting traybakes and cakes on the market, we are looking for a Warehouse & Prep Operative to become an integral part of our Warehouse team.
Day to day you will be:
- Accurately measuring and weighing both dry and wet ingredients following recipes.
- Minimising ingredient waste and ensuring that unnecessary ingredients are returned, labelled and packed correctly.
- Monitoring production lines progress to keep the ingredients supply timely and consistent without oversupplying.
- Assigning ingredients to each line on our internal traceability systems (SG)
- Ensuring ingredient containers are labelled and documented correctly for traceability, ensuring different lot numbers are not mixed.
- Booking deliveries ensuring the correct information has been given.
- Working within a team towards achieving daily and weekly targets.
- Supporting in other areas of the bakery when required.
- Following internal policies, procedures and training including but not limited to health and safety and manual handling.
Essential Qualities:
- The ability to work well with others
- Strong prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to multitask and hit tight deadlines
- Strong comprehension skills regarding reading labels, recipes and instructions.
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience within a production environment
- Experience in food manufacturing
