Trainee Audio Visual Engineer / Electrician’s Mate
We are looking for an Electrician’s Mate / Trainee Audio Visual Engineer to join an experienced engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone with electrical or structured cabling experience who wants to develop a career in AV, networking and technology systems.
The Role
- Assist senior engineers with AV installations, including speakers, TVs, HDMI/coax distribution and AV racks.
- Install data cabling, RJ45s, CCTV and network equipment.
- Assist with containment, power installations and equipment mounting.
- Learn AV rack building, testing, commissioning and fault-finding.
- Progress towards working independently on installations and call-outs.
- Work across construction sites and completed buildings.
- Occasional overnight stays with plenty of notice.
Requirements
- Previous Electrical Mate, Electrical Improver or Structured Cabling experience.
- Basic hand and power tool skills and own tools.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Valid ECS or CSCS card.
- Keen to learn and develop within AV and networking.
Salary: £28,000–£35,000 depending on experience, with excellent training and progression opportunities.
Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
