Job Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in roofing and related trades, demonstrating proficiency in various technical skills. This role involves working on diverse roofing projects, ensuring high standards of safety and quality. The successful applicant will contribute to the installation, repair and maintenance of roofing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain roofing systems using a variety of materials and techniques
- Proficient working from ladders safely
- Experience & Proficiency GRP and Three Layer Felt Systems
- Experience & Proficiency in Leadwork
- Ability to help other trades and muck in when required.
- Be a team member and the ability to turn hand to other elements of construction work.
- Doesn't suffer with iPhone Seperation Anxiety.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively
- Perform lead braising and fabrication tasks as required for customised roofing solutions
- Use carpentry skills for framing, support structures, and other related tasks
- Follow safety protocols diligently to minimise risks on-site
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Roofer, References with Proof of Experience.
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety standards
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, carpentry, masonry, and the use of power tools and hand tools
- Good understanding of construction site procedures and safety regulations
- Physical fitness to work at heights and perform strenuous tasks over extended periods
- Valid relevant certifications or licences are preferred but not mandatory
- A proactive attitude with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Pay: £180.00 per day
