Reporting to: Operations Manager
Due to continued company growth and expansion, we are looking for an experienced Shot Blaster to join our team.
As a Shot Blaster, you will play an important role in preparing metal components for painting, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the high standards expected by our customers.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work to tight production deadlines while maintaining quality, safety and housekeeping standards across the blast shed.
Key Responsibilities
- Shot blast metal components in preparation for painting.
- Take ownership of and organise the day-to-day activities within the blast shed.
- Operate all equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Work efficiently to achieve agreed production targets and deadlines.
- Carry out regular checks to ensure the blasting equipment is performing correctly and materials are prepared to the required standard.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment through continuous housekeeping.
- Comply with all company health and safety requirements.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a similar shot blasting or production environment.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- The ability to work to tight production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
- A positive, reliable and proactive can-do attitude.
- A strong commitment to health, safety and maintaining a high standard of work.
