Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gardener to join our vibrant landscaping team. Duties
- Use hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and hoes to perform planting, trimming, weeding, and soil preparation tasks
- Operate power tools including lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and chainsaws safely and efficiently
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Assist with planting new flora, transplanting existing plants, and removing dead or overgrown vegetation
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance activities such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, mulching, and pruning
- Monitor plant health and growth; identify pests or diseases and implement appropriate treatments based on horticultural best practices
- Support the overall aesthetic of outdoor spaces by maintaining pathways, garden beds, lawns, and decorative features
Qualifications
- Proven growing experience with a strong understanding of gardening principles and horticulture techniques
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to gardening tasks
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting is a plus
- Passion for gardening with a keen eye for detail and environmental sustainability
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Prior experience working in landscaping or horticulture is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
