Job Description
We are seeking a qualified Linguist with expertise in English (UK variants) to support language quality and candidate evaluation initiatives. This role is responsible for assessing spoken English to confirm native-level fluency and authentic regional accents, ensuring candidates meet linguistic and dialect-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and shortlist candidates based on spoken English proficiency in UK English.

Confirm native-level fluency and authentic regional accents through audio reviews, interviews, or recorded samples

Distinguish between closely related English dialects and identify non-native or mixed-accent speech

Apply linguistic knowledge of phonetics, phonology, prosody, and regional variation in assessments

Document evaluation outcomes clearly and consistently according to established guidelines

Collaborate with recruiting, operations, and quality teams to align on language standards
Qualifications

Native or near-native proficiency in English with strong familiarity with UK accents

Demonstrated ability to identify regional English UK dialects through speech analysis

Strong listening skills and attention to phonetic detail

Excellent written communication skills for clear documentation
Preferred Qualifications

Formal training in phonetics, phonology, or sociolinguistics
