Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children within a nurturing and stimulating environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management, leadership, and childcare skills while making a positive impact on children's early education. Applicants should have experience working with children, ideally within nursery settings, and possess strong communication skills. A valid driving licence is desirable for this role to facilitate transportation needs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote early childhood development in line with recognised frameworks.
- Support children’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth through personalised care and educational programmes.
- Supervise and oversee daily routines such as mealtimes, playtimes, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being.
- Foster a warm, inclusive environment that encourages children’s independence and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to monitor progress and share developmental milestones.
- Manage classroom resources effectively and maintain organised records of children's activities and development.
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of health, safety, and hygiene within the setting.
- Contribute to the organisation of outings or trips, including driving when necessary, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Relevant childcare qualifications or early years education certifications are preferred.
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting children or attending off-site activities.
- A caring attitude combined with organisational skills to create a safe and stimulating environment for all children. Pay: £24,420.00-£41,722.93 per year
