Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and kitchen management, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety while contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, including food preparation and cooking.
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards before serving.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Participate in maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organisation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management.
