Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the role
At YMCA Stepping Stones, we believe every child deserves the very best start in life. As a Deputy Nursery Manager, you'll support the Senior Nursery Manager in providing positive experiences for children and families whilst helping to deliver flexible, affordable, high-quality childcare within the local community.
You'll play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, learning and development are maintained across all rooms in line with EYFS requirements.
You'll also contribute to the ongoing development, quality improvement and sustainability of the nursery provision.
Working in partnership with parents, carers and external professionals, you'll help promote positive outcomes and wellbeing for every child.
Alongside the management team, you'll lead, motivate and develop nursery staff, apprentices and students through coaching, mentoring and professional development opportunities
What we're looking for

Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (as recognised by the Department for Education)

Minimum 2 years post-qualifying experience, including 1 year in a leadership role.

A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Strong knowledge of EYFS, child development, partnership working and leading nursery staff.
