Responsive Repairs Roofer – Full Time – Wythenshawe (Contract)
We are looking for an experienced Roofer to join our responsive repairs team. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in our communities by keeping tenants’ homes safe, secure, and protected from the elements. Immediate start available.
What’s on offer?
- Rate of pay: £22 - 27 per hour CIS (Estimated)
- Contract type: 3 months
- Hours: Full time, 37 hours
- Van and fuel card provided, PPE and materials supplied
- Start date: As early as next week
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive roof repairs across occupied social housing properties
- Diagnose and resolve issues such as leaks, broken tiles, damaged flashing, guttering, and general roofing defects
- Complete first-time fixes where possible to minimise disruption to tenants
- Ensure all works are delivered to a high standard and in line with health and safety requirements
- Work closely with supervisors and planners to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
- Keep accurate records of work undertaken using job sheets or handheld devices
About you
- Time-served Roofer with proven experience in responsive repairs
- Social housing experience desirable
- NVQ Level 2 in Roofing or equivalent qualification (Preferred)
- Confident working independently with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Full UK driving licence required
