Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full Time Electrician specialising in the installation of solar energy systems, battery storage solutions, and electric vehicle (EV) chargers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy projects, working on a variety of installations that support renewable energy initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality electrical installations in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, battery storage units, and EV charging stations in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics to execute precise electrical work.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and maintenance tasks.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement and setup of electrical components.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety procedures.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues promptly to minimise downtime and ensure system performance.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on renewable energy systems or similar electrical installations.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters.
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and impact drivers safely and effectively.
- Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to read technical diagrams and schematics confidently.
- Familiarity with current electrical safety standards and building regulations relevant to solar energy systems and EV chargers.
- Previous experience working on solar PV or battery storage projects is highly desirable but not essential. Candidates should possess a valid electrical qualification recognised within the UK and demonstrate a commitment to health & safety standards across all tasks undertaken.
Pay: £26,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
