Duties
- Ensure all kitchen areas are kept spotless, sanitized, and well-organized to meet health and safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs, including washing vegetables, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Support the cleaning of cookware, utensils, dishes, and kitchen equipment after use
- Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to maintain a clean workspace
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, work surfaces, storage areas, and refrigeration units throughout shifts
- Support serving staff by delivering clean dishes and assisting with basic setup for meal service
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with food handling procedures and basic kitchen safety guidelines is advantageous
- Experience working in hotel kitchens or culinary settings is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions diligently
- Enthusiasm for food preparation, cooking support, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness in busy environments
