Associate (3-4 PQE) Insurance Litigation (Financial Lines & Professional Indemnity), Melbourne
Kennedys is seeking a high‑calibre Associate (3-4 PQE) to join our growing Melbourne practice, working closely with partners Nicole Wearne, Mark Attard and Ganga Narayanan.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a market‑leading insurance team, acting for insurers, underwriters, and corporates across a broad range of defence insurance matters, with a particular focus on professional indemnity and financial lines.
You will work on a diverse mix of complex and high‑value claims, including:
Professional indemnity matters across a range of professions
Financial lines disputes, including D&O, regulatory defence and management liability
Coverage advice and litigation
Large‑scale, technically complex insurance disputes
You will have hands‑on responsibility from the outset, including direct client exposure, strategic input on matters and the opportunity to collaborate across our national and global network.
We are looking for someone who:
Has 3-4 years' PQE with strong experience in insurance litigation, ideally within professional liability or financial lines
Demonstrates strong technical skills and sound judgement
Confident managing matters and engaging directly with clients
Thrives in a collaborative, high‑performing team environment
Is motivated by long‑term career progression within a global firm
