The Street Bakeshop is hiring a Pastry Chef based in Old Basing, Hampshire.
3–5 days a week — full-time or part-time, built around you.
Shift Pattern 6am till 3pm | £13.25 per hour.
You'll work alongside our Head of Pastry and Pastry Sous Chef, creating pastries, cakes and desserts people come back for time and time again. This is a hands-on role for someone who cares about craft, consistency and detail — and wants to be part of a team building something special.
We make sourdough, pastries, cakes and doughnuts people actually come back for — award-winning, from scratch, real ingredients, no chemical rubbish. We're not here to be average. We're here to be the best in England.

What You'll Do
- Supporting daily and weekly pastry production
- Producing entremets, tarts, custards, cakes and chocolate work to a high standard
- Ensuring every product leaving the kitchen is consistent, beautiful and delicious
- Following and helping maintain recipe standards
- Supporting new product development and seasonal menu changes
- Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and allergen standards
- Managing stock levels and reducing waste
- Keeping production running smoothly with the wider pastry team
- Making sure products are presented and ready for Front of House
