Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic handling of laundry within our facility. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment, supporting the overall cleanliness and presentation standards of our establishment. Previous hotel experience is considered an advantage but is not essential.
Duties
- Collect, sort, and process laundry items in accordance with established procedures
- Operate laundry machinery such as washers, dryers, and folding equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure all laundry is cleaned to high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area at all times
- Assist with the transportation of clean linen to designated storage areas or departments
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Record laundry activities accurately as part of operational documentation
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift laundry items as required
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
Pay: £12.71 per hour
