Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of commercial spaces through efficient cleaning practices. Your proactive approach will help create a positive impression for visitors and maintain a healthy environment for staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks in commercial settings, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all designated areas, including restrooms, kitchens, offices, and communal spaces
- Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards promptly to supervisors
- Adhere to scheduled cleaning routines and complete tasks within designated timeframes
- Keep accurate records of cleaning activities and supplies used
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues effectively
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning operations
- Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
