A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Golf Shop Assistant to join our team at China Fleet Country Club. Set within 180 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside, just 15 minutes from Plymouth city centre, China Fleet Country Club offers accommodation, fitness and leisure facilities, golf, dining, hair and beauty services, weddings, conferences and events.
This is a permanent position, based on a minimum of 30 hours per week, worked on a rota basis, including weekends. Shifts will be scheduled between 6:30am and 9:00pm. Additional hours may be available to meet the needs of the business.
Duties will include:
- Selling golf merchandise and driving range balls.
- Checking golfers in for tee times and making them aware of local rules and dress code requirements.
- Operating the Club's computerised booking system and till.
- Taking golf bookings by telephone.
- Cashing up tills at the end of a shift.
- Monitoring the 1st tee and marshalling the golf course.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have knowledge of the game of golf and the Rules of Golf.
- Be computer literate.
- Possess excellent customer service skills.
- Have previous retail experience, preferably within the golf industry.
