We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to work within a specialist education setting that supports primary and secondary learners with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to learners both within the classroom and during practical activities. Your role will focus on encouraging engagement, developing life skills, and promoting independence wherever possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting learners within classroom-based activities and personalised learning programmes.
- Encouraging communication, social interaction, and positive behaviour.
- Promoting independence and helping learners develop essential life skills.
- Supporting learners with a variety of complex needs in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
- A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 08:30am – 3:30pm
- Full-time positions available
